Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a talented working student with a background in Engineering or a related field. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to work on various aspects of hardware, manufacturing and software development in the medical device industry. In a small team, you will contribute to the manufacturing of ultrasonic systems, testing infrastructure, simple electric systems with microcontrollers and further development of our medical device hardware. You will source components, improve and document processes. Additionally, you can take on tasks in software development like QA, debugging and GUI improvements.
The position is available as a working student position (10 or 20 hours per week), an internship, or a thesis.
Responsibilities:
- Manufacture ultrasonic systems
- Use hand tools to design, build, and document test equipment
- Use SolidWorks to model and 3D print prototypes
- Analyse and improve existing designs
- Assist in simple electronic circuit development
- Contribute to software development in MATLAB, Python and bash scripts
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing studies in Mechanical, Biomedical, Computer engineering or similar
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
- Enthusiasm for learning new technologies, taking on exciting projects, and assuming responsibility
- Experience with Linux
- Scripting and object-oriented programming experience is beneficial
- Soldering and electronics experience is beneficial
